12/1/2006 - Columbus Secure Shredding Name Change Reflects Community Commitment
Salt Lake City, Utah – December 1, 2006. Columbus Secure Shredding (CSS) has recently changed its name from National Data Guard to better reflect its mission to provide secure document destruction while employing people with disabilities. The new website is www.columbussecureshredding.com.
CSS is a business unit of Columbus Community Center, a nonprofit organization that has served people with disabilities since 1968. CSS was started three years ago as a way to provide a valuable business service to the community while allowing Columbus to create jobs for people with disabilities. Currently, CSS employs 15 individuals with disabilities while providing secure document destruction services to a number of businesses including financial institutions, government agencies, and insurance companies.
CSS continues to be “AAA” rated by the National Association of Information Destruction (NAID) and complies with Federal regulations related to document destruction. For more information, call 262-1588 or visit the website at www.columbussecureshredding.com.
